Common names: Styrax, Liquid-Amber, Liquid storax, Sweetgum
Liquid Styrax from Honduras. A resin obtained from the Liquidambar styraciflua, also known as liquid amber. A transparent, reddish or yellow. Its perfume is nice and resembles that of gray amber. This resin can be burnt on charcoals or used to prepare the perfumes or spiritual Oils. Before burning it,  put a spoon of the product on the flame to liquefy it, and then place it on the lit up charcoal. Packed in a glass jar to preserve it from humidity.
Storax is called for in many Medieval and Ancient recipes. It is usually associated with Mercury, although some associate it to earth due to its earthy aroma. This is resin is a semi-liquid viscous substance from the American storax variety, Liquidambar styraciflua.

Sold in a glass jar as pictured. You can freeze the material to allow it to crystalize and then grind it for use.
Alternatively you can place the glass in warmed water to allow it to liquify for perfumery use.
