These candles are meticulously fashioned using the traditional hand-dipping method, infused real bayberry wax, with dried bayberry root and mistletoe to add an extra touch of enchantment, complemented with a rustic hemp wick, evoking an enchanting old-world charm.
 
For generations, the lighting of bayberry candles during the Yule tide season has been accompanied by the adage, "Bayberry candles burned to the socket, bring health to the home and wealth to the pocket."
 
Believed to harbor medicinal properties, kindling these candles as an honor to someone held profound significance, fostering stronger bonds and more favorable connections.
 
Another endearing tradition entailed sweethearts separated during the holidays; the legend suggested that the distinctive aroma of bayberry candles would spiritually unite them.
 
This ritual traces its origins to the 1700s when gathering enough wax for candle-making necessitated the laborious boiling of numerous bayberries. Candlers would mix bayberry with their tallow wax. The outcome: candles that burned longer, cleaner, and brighter than the conventional tallow candles of the time, reserving bayberry candles for special occasions, particularly New Year's Eve celebrations. Ours are traditionally made hand dipped with a mixture of beeswax.
