The image shown is an example of a dressed log— your kit will come with tools needed to craft your own. The candle holders and moss will already be in place. Altar cloth is not included. Feel free to enhance your altar further by adding local flora for a truly personal touch.
The Tradition of the Yule Log: The Yule log has long been a powerful symbol of rebirth, rooted in ancient customs. Traditionally, a full tree would burn for twelve days to welcome the Sun and bring blessings into the home. Evergreens, symbolizing life and resilience, were believed to ward off the darkness of winter and invite renewal.
For many, the Winter Solstice begins on Mother’s Night (the shortest day of the year), marking the start of the twelve days of Yule. In 2024, this begins on December 21st, and each day acts as a window into the upcoming year. The Twelve Nights encompass the entire year, with each night representing a month of the new year.

This is the prettiest and most detailed Yule log anywhere, in my opinion. Andrea put a lot of love and care into putting together all the lovely details and packaging them well to hold up during international shipping. I was concerned whether some of the dried items (leaves, etc) could break or crumble during shipping but they all held up very well. Thank you again!
